Hello, my name is Ben, and I work with adults of all backgrounds, mental states, and social locations, using techniques, philosophies, and practices from around the world. I have extensive experience working with severe mental illness, addiction, trauma, social challenges, chronic illness & pain, and depression and anxiety. If you struggle to feel connected, to feel purposeful, to feel good most of the time, these are all issues I'd like to help with.
My work is heavily influenced by the "meaning making" existential Logotherapy of Dr. Viktor Frankl, author of Man's Search for Meaning. My master's degree is in Contemplative, Mindfulness-based counseling, and I am also a certified mindfulness/meditation instructor and smoking cessation coach. I work with clients to find their own wisdom for healing.
My life experiences - recovery of my own mental health, varied financial status, complex social identities, chronic health issues, and eclectic interests - allow me to relate to a wide range of others’ experiences. I work to offer a curious, compassionate, and totally accepting space to every person. I would love the chance to meet you and hear your story!
