Ben Josie (he/him) works with teens, young adults, and families who are feeling disconnected, overwhelmed, or misunderstood. His clients often struggle with emotional regulation, communication, low self-esteem, identity exploration, or patterns rooted in family dynamics. Before becoming a therapist, Ben spent years as a high school teacher—an experience that continues to shape his deep respect for young people’s resilience, creativity, and complexity. His style is warm, direct, and collaborative, supporting clients in developing the insight and skills needed to live more authentically.
In our work together, we will build trust as we create goals to become the person you want to be. I value full honesty, and will tell you the things you need to hear, even if you don’t want to hear them. My work is neurodiverse-, queer- and kink-affirming. I value creativity, expressiveness and kind humor both in my life and my therapy practice.
