Our lives can be full of wonderful experiences that we hope to never forget and awful experiences that we would love to forget. Learning to live a life to the fullest with these contrasting experiences can be so emotionally draining. It is so easy to get stuck in a dark hole of depression and anxiety and start to believe that your situation will never get better. However, it is my belief, that when someone chooses to pay attention to their thoughts, emotions and their actions, a positive change can happen. Remember…you are not your thoughts!
I have experience with trauma-informed care & use approaches such as Motivational Interviewing & Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I specialize in depression, anxiety and trauma. Having a Masters Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, I also enjoy working with couples under special circumstances.
I was taught early in my practice that to be a good therapist you first need to be a good client. So, I have participated as a client in therapy myself, to work through some of my own challenges. I experienced both strength and freedom from false beliefs about myself that were making me feel stuck I would like a chance to help you experience the same.
