About
Hi, I'm Ben. I'm a licensed mental health counselor in Slingerlands. What continues to amaze me as a therapist is how resilient people are. I've worked with people going through traumatic experiences and I've seen them go on to live meaningful, fulfilling lives. I strongly believe people can overcome the immense obstacles life throws their way. I have a particular interest in working with younger men (20's and 30's), as they face unique challenges and historically have been less likely to seek help.
Most of my post-graduate training and experience is in family therapy. I've also treated people with chronic and life-threatening illnesses. My therapeutic approach is pretty eclectic. What's important to me is getting to know you and where you're at.
I'm offering teletherapy and in-person therapy with COVID protocols in place. I'm accepting some insurances at this time. I can also help you submit paperwork for out of network reimbursement. Please shoot me a call or email if you're interested in services.
