I am Ben (he/him), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. As a newcomer to Wisconsin, I am excited to work with adults, teens, and families in our community! My main areas of focus are depression, anxiety, trauma, and phobias. I also have experience working with clients experiencing life transitions and emotional regulation concerns. I enjoy engaging with clients who are willing to try something new and want to make a change for the better, regardless of how severe or challenging their concerns are.
I apply a strengths-based perspective to my work with clients. This means that I focus on what my clients are capable of and how those capabilities may help their current situation in addition to treating symptoms of the mental health condition. Specifically, I have training and experience using CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and somatic therapy in my work.
Regardless of what approach we take, it is important to me that my clients are well-informed and able to be participants in the therapeutic process. Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, board gaming, motorcycling, and reading. I am also exploring the trails and waterways of Dane County when the weather is fair.
