I conduct Alcohol & Drug Assessments for driver's license reinstatement, DCS, divorce cases, and employers. Believe me I know how hard it is to take that very first step! My approach to therapy is outcome focused, eclectic and tailored for each client. My style is interactive, casual and practical. The focus of therapy is creating positive changes identified by the individual that will increase satisfaction with life, relationships and self. I will provide a safe, supportive environment conducive to learning new skills and gaining insights to help clients take those steps toward change.
With over 20 years of experience, my past includes almost every facet of mental health care: psych hospitalization, outpatient A&D treatment, school-based counseling, and traditional office-based therapy. I have presented on topics such as Bullying, Self Care for Professionals in the Caring Field, Culture and Diversity, Team Building, and Life Coaching.
My personal journey has taught me that reaching out is imperative. I work closely with the Recovery Community, I supervise Master's level students on a licensure track and I love to do group work and staff development. My goal is to deliver culturally competent, evidence-based mental healthcare.
