Challenging Clutter - 9/11/19-11/20/19
A 10-Week Group for Understanding & Changing Your Cluttered Spaces. Elspeth Bell, Ph.D., a hoarding specialist, offers a foundation in understanding the origins of excessive clutter and helping individuals challenge the ways that clutter interferes with their lives. This group uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to: educate about clutter, develop skills to address clutter-related problems, address barriers to overcoming a clutter, and create strategies for managing setbacks. Topics include: Characteristics of individuals who clutter, understanding emotional attachments, challenging assumptions about possessions, developing new behaviors, and strategies for letting go and getting organized. Sessions offered on on-going basis.

A 4-Week Group for Creating Change in Your Cluttered Spaces - Elspeth Bell, Ph.D., a hoarding specialist, incorporates MOTIVATION BUILDING with her in-depth understanding of clutter to help individuals get ENERGIZED to CHALLENGE their clutter. This group uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing to: educate about motivation, build a constructive internal conversation, and create strategies to face a cluttered environment. Topics addressed include: reasons to declutter that are in line with your priorities, changing how you relate to your stuff, collaborating with others to reach your goals, and developing compassion for yourself.
