Sometimes what has happened in our past can strongly affect our present moods and behaviors. I utilize a trauma-focused approach in the therapy that I practice. I enjoy working with culturally diverse client populations. As a United States Army retired veteran with over 20 years of service, I also have extensive experience in working with military populations. I am a trauma informed, bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor.
I specialize in trauma/PTSD with children, teens and adults. I am a Registered Play Therapist (RPT); certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, and I am also a Registered Sand Therapist (RST).
