I have been working as a licensed mental health counselor and a national certified counselor for over 25 years. My clinical orientation is eclectic, ranging from a variety of techniques including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Positive Psychology and Solution Focused Therapy. I have extensive experience working with survivors of childhood sexual abuse, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, partner abuse, sexual violence, self-esteem, LGBTQ issues, empowerment and grief/loss.
My strengths lie in my ability to help people find their "inner voice". I believe people are the experts on their own life, they just need the space to figure out what they want, the confidence to know what is right and the courage to make a change. My availabilities are Saturdays only and an occasional evening.
I am trained in Energy Tapping. Tapping is an emotional version of acupuncture except without the needles. This technique stimulates certain meridian points on the body by tapping with our fingertips. It is easy to learn & can be used to relieve most unwanted emotions such as anxiety, fear, & anger. Tapping is something I can show you how to do on yourself.
