Steve is an Illinois State Licensed Clinical Social Worker that has been providing services to individuals, couples and families for over 10 years. Steve received his Bachelor's Degree in psychology from the University of Kansas in 2002 and his Master's Degree in social work from the University of Chicago in 2004. Since then he has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings as either a clinical therapist or administrator.
Steve works at a relaxed, comfortable pace while establishing a strong relationship with his clients. He focuses on a person's strengths and empowers them to use these assets for growth, change and development. Steve also considers the family system and the role it plays within an individual's life.
Steve works with many people experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, ADHD, behavioral, social and anger management concerns, as well as complex trauma and PTSD. He always considers developmentally appropriate strategies and offers an acceptance focused approach that aims to adaptively integrate an individuals or families experiences within their lives.
