PLEASE NOTE: I am NOT accepting new clients at this time. Have you ever had the experience of wrestling with a problem, and then, at some later point, the solution "coming to you" out of the blue? That's what I want to guide you to do, regarding whatever issues are bothering you now. I like to go beyond the limits of "talk" therapy by using mind/body techniques that activate your innate intelligence and creativity. While these techniques are grounded in the latest research from cognitive science and neuroscience, they are also consistent with ancient practices of awakening to our inner wisdom.
My strongest skill is helping clients with relationship issues. In order to have satisfying relationships, one has to be able to manage one's own internal reactions, and have an accurate understanding of why other people do what they do. That's what I like to work on in therapy with my clients.
Although I have a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, and was "in my head" most of my life, it was only when I went beyond an intellectual approach in therapy that I found something that works. By using the mind/body approach of Focusing-oriented therapy, I guide clients in finding new ways of being.
