Working with children and their families has always been the core of my practice. As a systems therapist, working with the family is as important as working with the child that presents for treatment. My primary focus is helping families in conflictual custody cases choose a more peaceful way of resolving problems in a more constructive and less adversarial way that minimizes the emotional pain for all family members, especially the children.
As a Child Therapist, I help children with coping strategies who are experiencing managing different emotions such as anger or anxiety. As a Reunification Specialist, I assist in healing the relationship between an estranged parent and child. As a Co-Parenting Specialist, I help parents put their anger aside and move forward in a more civil way.
While I am a sole practitioner, the majority of my work involves working collaboratively with other professionals such as attorneys, guardian ad litems and custody evaluators and other therapists for the benefit of the child and family.
