My work is trauma-informed. My process is collaborative and interactive. I approach each therapy encounter with an open mind, recognizing that you are the expert in your life and know what works and what you need from therapy.
My approach is integrative and pragmatic. I draw from various theories/interventions (psychoanalytic, psychodynamic, relational, client-centered, CBT, DBT, mindfulness, systems, creative/expressive). I think about development, attachment,neuroscience, trauma, and how identities, cultures and systems influence us. I think creatively, flexibly and dynamically.
I bring extensive life experience and perspective to my practice, through my work in law and business, being a parent, and as a first generation American. I believe in self determination, resilience, and that each of us has a forward edge that supports growth and change. I have experience/specialized training working with queer, non-binary & trans clients.
