I believe that people innately have the internal resources to meet life's challenges. We all have great potential for growth and change when we are empowered to access these resources within ourselves. But it is in relationship with others that these resources are inspired and engaged. My approach to therapy is collaborative. My hope is to help create the conditions where you feel encouraged and supported to explore the themes that are present in your life.
While it is typically the difficulties and challenges that bring a person to therapy, it is often necessary to also put attention on the things that bring us inspiration. As people grow into a new sense of the possibilities in life, it almost always brings a renewed engagement with the world.
I work with individuals on a variety of issues including anxiety and depression, shame, and addiction. I also work with couples and have trained in PACT couples therapy. This is a very engaging and interactive model and is based in attachment theory and developmental neuroscience. I look forward to the chance of working with you.
