My approach is both directive and accepting. I am a client-centered therapist. I can help solve problems that can take years to resolve on their own by teaching new skills and giving homework to practice in between sessions. At the same time I allow clients to dictate the goals, pace, and intensity of their counseling sessions. I don't fix people. I look for what is going right and help you or your relationship do more of it.

I am casual and tattooed, and that tends to work for most people... even if it's vastly different from how people picture a typical 'therapist'. I feel very privileged to work with members of the LGBTQ+ community and believe I offer a unique perspective as a trans man (that also happens to be a therapist). I really enjoy providing support to folks while they explore components of their authentic identities. I am comfortable working with folks that identify with being poly and/or kinky (No shaming here!).

Carson Winston is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with 18 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of clinical settings. Carson attained her professional experience working in residential treatment, outpatient settings, emergency mental health, and hospice. She enjoys assisting individuals in coping with life transitions, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. Carson completed both her Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychology and her Master of Education (MEd) in Community Counseling at Lynchburg College.She is certified as a Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional.

Johanna Jones is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a focus on adults, and she has a special place in her heart for LGBTQ populations, the mentally ill, and those who identify with Asperger's Syndrome.

The two most important factors in effective psychotherapy are finding the right person with whom you can connect and knowing that the therapy is geared to your unique needs. My 45 years of counseling have taught me therapy is most effective when we work together. Therapy is a cooperative effort. I want to identify your strengths and apply them to your problems. Her professional career consists of providing service with inpatient and outpatient services, In-home services, school settings, and hospice.

Sally has been practicing as a licensed therapist for 22 years, and over 25 years in the mental health field. She has a wide range of experience. and has treated a broad spectrum of populations in counseling groups, individuals and couples. Her areas of practice include working with individuals that have PTSD, OCD, Borderline Personality Disorder, inmates, detained immigrants, serious mental illness, bipolar disorder and depressive disorder. Sally specializes in dialectical behavior therapy, and also incorporates person centered, and cognitive behavioral therapies into treatment.
