I’m a firm believer that the key to being the best version of ourselves requires self-reflection and vulnerability. My compassion and empathy for others allows me to create a safe and non-judgmental space for my clients in order to create a strong therapeutic relationship. As a therapist, I have experience with various populations and diagnoses such a dual diagnosis, anxiety, depression, adjustment, grief, emotional and behavioral issues. My experience has also grown over the years from working in inpatient and outpatient settings, as well as the healthcare system.

I am an empathetic and compassionate person, who provides a safe, non-judgmental, and trusting therapeutic environment to help individuals thrive. Through providing a person-centered therapeutic approach, I help guide individuals to explore stressors and identifying strengths within themselves to change their perceptions and use more positive coping skills. I have a passion for working with children, adolescents and young adults, offering individual and family therapy. I enjoy using creative techniques. such as play and art to help younger children express feelings and find new ways of approaching challenges.

Raina Deer is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Education Specialist with over 9 years of experience working with teens and adults who are seeking help for depression, anxiety, and relationship difficulties. Raina completed her bachelor’s degree in Educational Psychology at Mississippi State University and her Master of Education (MEd) in School Counseling at Mississippi College.
