Licensed in California & New York, I work with Black people, other people of color, and members of LGBTQIA+ communities who want therapy that takes their full identity seriously. I specialize in social justice oriented psychotherapy grounded in cultural responsiveness and strength-based care. I draw on African-centered and liberation psychology alongside CBT, addressing both root causes and daily patterns. Clients come to me carrying the weight of racialized stress, family history, and systemic pressure. I help them build a plan that honors their history and moves them toward the life they want, in a space free of judgment.
I believe in building a strong therapeutic relationship, and I pay close attention to what’s happening for you in the moment. I work to understand the different worldviews and beliefs we each bring into the room, and how they shape our interactions.
