At Becoming Balanced we believe in empowering women and elevating wellness. Our focus is on helping women be well — physically, emotionally, spiritually, socially. With all of women's responsibilities, it's easy to put yourself last. We aim to help you find your footing again. Our foundation is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). From there, our clinicians bring their own unique strengths to your care, with specializations in trauma, grief, sports counseling, and neurodiversity to name a few. Whatever your needs, we’ll work to match you with a clinician and approach that feels right for you.

My overall focus is on helping women be well--physically, emotionally, spiritually, socially. My areas of focus include: trauma, depression, anxiety, work-life balance, grief, self-esteem, and relationship issues. I gravitate towards Cognitive Behavioral and Humanistic therapies in my clinical work. I primarily serve clients individually; however, I am experienced in offering couple's and group therapy. I am passionate about working with those experiencing PTSD and helping improve their quality of life. In addition to seeing clients I provide supervision for ND and MN counselors seeking their LPCCs.

I feel grateful to do what I do and I see it as a privilege to witness the resilient nature of the human spirit each day. Each person has a unique life story, and often there are aspects of it that cause pain and shame. None of us can escape suffering because it is a natural part of the human experience. This is a difficult truth to accept. My goal is not to help you avoid all emotional pain but to offer support so that you learn how to navigate it with more ease. The transformation happens when there is awareness, acceptance, compassion, & useful action towards a life that is aligned with values.

I enjoy working with women experiencing mood and anxiety disorders, including trauma-related disorders, and women experiencing emotional health concerns in the context of chronic health conditions. I am also a strong advocate for those experiencing neurodiversity (ADHD and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder). I specialize in helping individuals identify the specific nature of their concerns, including differential diagnostic assessment and inclusion of psychological testing, if appropriate. Clearly identifying these concerns leads to improved outcomes, helping individuals grow in a way that is meaningful to them.

I’m so glad you are here and considering therapy. You deserve it! Everyone should have the opportunity in their life to sit with someone supportive and non-judgmental and be able to say whatever is on their mind. My therapy style is very relaxed and collaborative. I believe you know yourself best and are capable of making changes. My job is to provide the space to do this and give you some tools to help facilitate the healing process. Whatever your struggle, I will work WITH you to create the best treatment plan and provide a safe place to work toward YOUR goals.
