I spent twenty years in education before pursuing therapy. I believe we all have issues we need to talk about with someone. I hope to be able to help people find ways to work through trauma, conflict, and family issues. My goal is to teach coping skills to manage the symptoms related to PTSD, anger, depression, anxiety, etc. With a little help and an understanding ear, most people can find a way to develop healthy coping skills to manage their daily lives.
During my twenty years in education, I worked with teens on a daily basis. I understand and can relate to them better than most. I have also spent the past 11 years as a single mom. So, I know the struggles moms face raising children on their own.
I hope to be the kind of therapist you can rely on to help you through your struggles. My objective is to give you the skills you need to move forward and, eventually, not need therapy.
