I have over 20+ years working in various customer service roles including legal, finance and higher education industries. I graduated from ASU with a Bachelor's of Science in Communications and a Minor in Family and Human Development. I also earned a Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through the University of Phoenix (CACREP accredited). Through my collective work and personal experiences, I understand the importance of the client-counselor relationship and strives to create a trusting, personalized and compassionate counseling environment.
I am passionate about being an advocate for children and families, encouraging education & strategies for suicide prevention, and promoting healthy communication about mental health in homes and communities. I take a holistic counseling approach that encompasses empathy, validation, positive motivation and humor in navigating the healing process.
I also incorporate a variety of modalities, & tools specific to each client’s needs and goals. I am inspired by the human spirit’s ability to change, adapt, & persevere through various life challenges. I have personally seen the many ways healing our mental health can help improve one’s life, relationships, and increase wellness in mind, body and spirit.
