Transpersonal counseling is a holistic way of seeing a person and the problems they are trying to heal, and encompasses spiritual development throughout the course of a person's life and therapy process. Transpersonal counseling combines Eastern and Western psychology elements to aid a client's healing process, and sees the whole person and their unique needs. The transpersonal approach fosters the development of one's authentic self by expanding focus beyond the individual to the wider elements of experience.
