Relationships are challenging; they bring our greatest joys and heartaches. They can also be an avenue for healing. I seek to create therapeutic relationships where individuals and couples feel validated, valued, and heard, and then help them to improve their relationships with self and others. It is important for me to offer a place where my clients can feel safe to say what they need to say, without fear of judgement or rejection. It is an honor to be allowed into the vulnerable spaces of a person's life, and I respect the work it takes to get there. I will honor that trust and help facilitate healing and growth for my clients.
I am excited to be starting my journey as a Licensed Professional Counselor- Candidate. I bring life experience as a wife, mother of 2 boys (one of whom is non-verbal and developmentally delayed). I am a life-long learner; I enjoy interfaith and intercultural events and find joy in building new relationships wherever life takes me.
My approach to therapy is person-centered. I will extend invitations to explore how the past effects you today. With couples I use Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFTC) to build empathy and connection. There is hope and healing available.
