I used to live my life “being fine.” I performed, pushed, achieved, and gave until there was nothing left. I thought it would make me successful, lovable, and safe. Instead, I felt alone, overwhelmed, and disconnected from myself and my relationships.
I see this everywhere—people stretching themselves thinner and thinner, pretending to be okay. On the outside it might look effortless (hello, Instagram), but inside it’s exhausting and lonely.
What I didn’t know then was that compassion is safe. That my needs matter. That I can set healthy boundaries. That my worth doesn’t vanish when I make a mistake. I learned that I can simply be—and I matter.
