We are a nonprofit out-patient mental health and addiction counseling center serving Horry County in four locations; North Myrtle Beach, Surfside, Conway, and Loris. Our professional staff of 30 Master's level counselors and social workers with specialties in play therapy, addictions, marital and family counseling, and trauma recovery are here to help you deal with mental, emotional, spiritual, and relational issues.

My name is Denise Rothman and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in NC and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in both SC and NJ. I offer a welcoming, non-judgmental approach in working with my clients to help them achieve personal fulfillment and individual growth. I am experienced in treating adults, couples, children, and adolescents with various difficulties including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, ADHD, attachment disorders, parenting issues, family conflicts, and childhood trauma. Dr. Kim Witkowski, Ph.D. is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor providing services for clients in Maryland ,South Carolina and New Jersey. With 30 years of clinical experience. Dr. Witkowski is working with clients to resolve; Trauma, Anxiety and Depression. Additionally specialties include Bipolar Disorders, PTSD, Perfectionism ,OCD and Work-Life Balance. Relationship counseling is offered to include: Effective Communication for Marriage and long- term partnerships, ending codependency and ACOA issues, trauma bonding , learning the characteristics of healthy relationships and attachment styles.

Every person needs a little help sometimes. I provide empathy, unconditional positive regard, and acceptance for each client’s perspective. I aspire to provide a safe space for individuals to realize their present and future potential through acknowledgement of past realities, and recognition of hope for the future. I believe the client is the expert regarding their life and I promote clients to take control over their life to elevate themselves and build healthy relationships with others.

Many of my clients are Law Enforcement, First Responders, Active Military, and Veterans who have been reluctant to begin therapy. My areas of specialty are anxiety & depression, trauma, alcohol/substance use, dual-diagnosis, and addressing the issues that result from these problems such as interpersonal and relationship issues, self esteem issues, and overall poor coping skills. Mrs. Sloan has also earned Board Certification as a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC) with the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC). She is a member of the American Mental Health Counselors Association and the SC Association of Licensed Professional Counselors.

Dr. Robert E. McCarthy is an internationally-known authority in integrative medicine and a Licensed and Multi-Board Certified Professional Counselor and Supervisor providing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for a range of psychiatric, medical, neurological and developmental disorders. Hello, I am Jim Bennett ,Counselor. I have compassionately worked with families, couples, individuals, teens and groups for over 29 years. I have worked with these clients in a private practice setting and in an addictions treatment center setting. I have accomplished Masters Degrees in both Counseling and Clinical Psychology. I studied both disciplines to equip myself for assessment as well as treatment . I became a counselor to help teens navigate their way into adulthood. I quickly found that the family is where it all starts. Therefore, I focused on family/marriage counseling. From there I branched into addiction counseling.
