In my 30 plus years of clinical experience, I have felt privileged to work with adults of all ages, from many different backgrounds. Each treatment is a collaborative process as my patient and I learn together what is standing in the way of greater peace of mind and further development. I help my patients grow in their own unique ways as they confront issues of depression, anxiety, shame, grief, and early trauma.
I am a trained psychotherapist and psychoanalyst with many years of post master's education leading to a certificate in psychoanalysis. I have a special interest in shame and how it can remain hidden and unknown to the sufferer and often be masked by anger, depression, and self-destructive tendencies.
I work with both individual adults and couples and bring to my work an open mind and compassion for the many ways that people can suffer. Together we build mutual trust as we untangle the web of difficulties, whatever they may be.
