I became a social worker after serving on active duty in the United States Army. I began my career serving children, adolescents, their parents and families, in their home, school and community settings. As my career progressed I began to understand the awesome impact & influence that traumatic experiences have in our lives. It’s remarkable how much power we have to heal ourselves from with-in if we take the time to attend ourselves and our own history. ADHD, anxiety, depression are all symptomatic of and impacted by the experiences we’ve had. How we cope how we make decisions our health are all impacted by our life experience.
In addition to being an LICSW, I have received specific training and certifications in Clinical Trauma Treatment, Neuropschotherapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, AntiRacist Practices, ADHD assessment and Treatment. I utilize a Person-Centered approach to help us focus on a positive future without problematic mental health symptoms weighing you down.
I will make sure you feel heard and understood. Getting to know you and understand your concerns, goals and personal narratives is our starting point. I’m an experienced active listener and It’s important you feel confident in my ability to hear you fully and reflect understanding.
