Life can be difficult, however sometimes wrong or difficult choices bring us to the right places. I believe as human beings we at some point have experienced stressors that have had some type of impact on our lives. Stressors can be complicated and usually center around our thoughts, feelings (otherwise known as emotions), and behaviors. Understanding those thoughts are what drives our behaviors good, bad happy or sad. My role is to partner with clients to help them improve coping skills to better manage daily life.
My goal is to inspire hope and well-being meeting people where they are to help them navigate desired changes. My experience is working with clients from various backgrounds and cultures seeking support for a wide-range of circumstances such as, interpersonal/family relationships, boundaries, grief and loss, sexual abuse, anxiety/depression and trauma.
I engage with clients to empower, and encourage them through listening, validation, and reinforcing positive thoughts. Life experiences taught me compassion, empathy, understanding and the ability to create a safe non-judgmental space to meet the emotional needs of others. My approach is to never ask "what's wrong with you, but, what happened to you?".
