My expertise as a therapist include treating difficulties related to mood (depression, bipolar disorder), chronic pain/complex health conditions (EDS, POTS, MCAS), traumatic events (past or recent), anxiety, and psychosis. My therapy style is warm and collaborative but also humorous and active. I identify as queer and offer clients an LGBTQIA+ friendly, gender affirming, and body/sex positive therapy space. Members of the kink, BDSM, and ethical non-monogamy communities are welcomed and respected in our work. I am AuADHD and love working with neurodivergent clients, especially those diagnosed later in life.
To increase overall health and wellness, I take a big picture approach and use a wide variety of therapeutic interventions. I focus on identifying practical solutions and building skills to minimize distress (e.g. CBT, DBT, ACT techniques) but also explore how the brain/nervous system, relationships, and past trauma may influence current wellbeing.
I know it can be stressful and anxiety provoking to start the process of therapy and to face the things in life that cause us distress. However, I genuinely hope that you find the strength to do so.
