I specialize in treating addictions to drugs, alcohol, and behaviors such as gambling, sex, Internet, and eating. I also address underlying issues such as anxiety, depression, and relationship problems. I work with adults of all ages individually as well as in groups. My approach to therapy is an interpersonal, client-centered approach. In other words, the client's own treatment goals are of central importance. Recovering from addiction usually entails two phases; stopping the problematic behavior, and the examining deeper issues.

I am a certified Problem and Compulsive Gambling Counselor. I am also a Certified Group Psychotherapist by the International Registry of Group Psychotherapist. I would meet with you a few times individually and then you would be a member of a small group that meets weekly, online. Individual meetings available on a less frequent basis after that.

Though my primary office is in Chicago, Illinois, I am also licensed in California, Colorado, and New Mexico. I am available to provide telehealth to residents of any of these states. Since my groups are limited to eight people, we are able to build a sense of cohesiveness and mutual support though meeting in a virtual setting.

This group is currently meeting online. It is designed to support those recovering from problem gambling. People in all phases of recovery are welcome. We focus on accountability and stopping gambling, and then on building a productive life that does not include gambling.
