The transitional times of adolescence and young adulthood can be very difficult and “growing pains,” both typical and extreme can create lasting marks and hardship. Factors such as depression and anxiety can make this uncertain time even more difficult. As an LCSW, I work with adolescents and adults experiencing depression, anxiety, and oppositional behavior. I have experience and joy working with the LGBTQ+ community as well as client exploring their gender identity. I also have extensive experience working with gifted adolescents and adults.
In a world that encourages conformity, learning to access and live as our authentic selves can seem frightening and even impossible. I believe every human has all that they need inside of them already; they may need help removing the obstacles to their own happiness. Together, we can identify those obstacles and the resources you possess to move forward.
Through building a strong, caring, and mutual relationship with my clients, I create a safe space to explore questions, challenges, and successes. With this can come real, deep change and true healing. I help clients learn to find comfort and joy living as their authentic selves, bring about their own healing, and build lives with connection and meaning.
