About
I am a counselor because I believe that therapy can be a powerful tool to rebuild from loss and restore confidence, peace, and joy within ourselves. Counseling sessions serve as a safe, non-judgmental way to explore and identify emotions, their origins, and their role in daily life. I also work with you to connect and understand the thoughts and actions that accompany your emotions. This practice supports health and well-being. Loss, pain, confusion, worry, and anger top the list of emotions explored in counseling.
While working on healing with many individuals, I also specialize in working with couples. Couples seek therapy because of ongoing arguments, diminished sex life, lack of communication, problems with the kids, or some other crisis. My work with couples includes a combination of building practical skills and deepening intimacy.
My focus is helping develop skills that promote deep understanding of oneself and tools that create healthy, satisfying relationships. I model compassionate curiosity about emotions and changes sought. Counseling often begins with resource building and education, but then shifts into listening, re-imagining, and creative problem solving.
