I am a clinical psychologist who has been working with children, adolescents and adults for over 25 years. I integrate a variety of therapeutic approaches in order to target your child's and your family's unique set of needs. Depending on your child's age and challenges, my approach blends components of developmental psychology, cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, family systems and neuropsychology. I specialize in helping children learn strategies for managing anxiety, emotional regulation, depression, learning/developmental disabilities, Autism, and ADHD, to name a few.
Collaboration with parents is essential. Parents are coached in behavior management and in child development so that you can better understand your child's social-emotional functioning and help him/her generalize new skills at home, in school and in social settings. I believe children are uniquely "wired" for change and growth.
I administer neuropsychological assessments for children birth to 4 years old. Understanding your child's relative strengths and weaknesses, leads to a comprehensive program designed to optimize his/her development at an age when therapies are most effective.
I was a Staff Psychologist at Children's Hospital Boston and faculty member at Harvard Medical School.
