Hi! I'm Barbara. 20+ years of experience working with adults who experience anxiety, depression, codependence, personality issues, communication difficulties, and substance use. These issues keep us from living and experiencing our lives and make our worlds smaller. We often need to process our experiences with another individual and help us make sense of our experiences and to gain a different outlook on them.
I tend to take an eclectic approach to therapy. When I get to know my client I will provide them with my thoughts on what I think would work best in their particular circumstance or presenting issue at the time. I'm adept in MI, ACT, CBT, DBT, and SFBT. I use mindfulness/grounding skills as a tool and have clients practice in between sessions.
