About
Family-of-origin challenges, 1st and 2nd generation American/immigrant experiences, emotional neglect and abandonment and career related stress are my specializations. I help clients learn to maintain neutral behavioral, navigate cultural identity issues, experience physical and emotional safety, develop connectedness with self and others, navigate career and financial stress. Ability to tolerate and manage distress; identifying that cause dysregulation; decreasing dissociating or numbing; and modifying or activating healthy behavioral responses are my clients' treatment outcomes. I use CBT/DBT, IFS and Polyvagal as foundations.
I create a supportive environment to develop insight and accept your point of view with warmth. I give homework to rehearse skills, practice strategies, and restructure destructive beliefs. I also provide assessments to support accommodation for professional exams such as the LSAT and MCAT.
My engaging, accepting, warm, direct and engaging personality, insightful questioning, and reflective listening provide an environment conducive to introspective conversation, mutual listening and resolution. I tailor sessions to address unique needs, symptoms, treatment goals and personality.
