In individual or group counseling, individuals are supported to address prenatal and postpartum experiences, grief, neglect and abuse, depression, chronic illness, transitions, caretaker stress, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD and general distress using developmentally and culturally appropriate approaches. We collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care. Our therapy process includes biopsychosocial intake, treatment planning, making sense of experiences, uncovering underlying dynamics, identifying and addressing patterns, insight into experiences, developing coping skills and reframing belief systems.
We utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), DBT, Internal Family Systems, existential and mindfulness-based interventions to address and/or alleviate symptoms, while considering implications of their cultural background. We combine somatic, emotion, mindfulness, attachment, spirituality, and cognitive techniques in a structured treatment process.
Developing the skills to remain regulated, safe and make self honoring decisions that promote a healthy sense of self, wellbeing and relationships is possible. We'll listen compassionately, evoke a safe curiosity and the world and leave you feeling safe within yourself and around others.
