Ongoing mindfulness is encouraged to decrease distorted negative thinking.
I utilize evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, the Here & Now technique, to support clients in challenging negative thought patterns & cultivating resilience. Mindfulness practices are used to reduce cognitive distortion & enhance emotional balance.
My expertise includes over 17+ yrs treating Trauma; Environmental Trauma , Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, Sexual/Physical Abuse, Domestic Violence, Grief/Loss, including Depression, Anxiety, & Life Goal Attainment. The goal is that all clients who have experienced Trauma will learn to identify symptoms, triggers & regulate their emotions through mindfulness.
A safe environment is provided where difficult issues can be explored and life goals can be obtained to allow healing to take place. I provide a supportive, judgement free zone & I encourage working collaboratively with all clients, so that it can lead to positive outcomes in treatment that would result in impacting the lives of all clients.
