Barbara Pinson received a Master of Arts in Community Counseling and a Master of Education with clinical endorsement from the University of Cincinnati. She earned a Master of Arts in Health Education with an emphasis of drug and alcohol education and counseling from The Ohio State University. Her over 30 years of experience has involved various types of abuse and trauma, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, substance use disorders, autism, women's issues and behavior problems. She has advanced training in EMDR, Trauma Focused CBT, Cognitive Processing Theory, play therapy for traumatized children and parenting traumatized children.
She is a Certified Trauma Treatment Specialist through the Association of Traumatic Treatment Specialists, Certified Family Trauma Treatment Professional and Certified Family Trauma Professional through Evergreen Certification and Trauma Responsive Treatment Specialist, Level Two through the Tri-State Trauma Network.
