Hello, my name is Barbara Montrond, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) currently living in Portland Oregon, working with clients statewide via telehealth., I work with Individuals, Couples and Families. I specialize in anxiety, stress and depression as well as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) I pull from various modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help my clients make progress and start feeling better.
My approach to therapy varies depending on clients and their needs. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as well as Family Systems, Jungian, Mindfullness, and Acceptance. Everyone is different and my approach is to pull from several modals depending on the Individual(s).
My communication style comes from a strength's perspective view. I am interactive in listening and acknowledging what clients say. I am easy-going, supportive and a fierce advocate. Regarding goal setting for my clients, I use a collaborative approach and between us we will develop goals that are unique for specific clients.
