My approach to therapy is both client-centered as well as strength based. My warmth and support for clients utilizes a curious and non-judgmental nature. Finding the right "fit" with a therapist can prove central in attaining the most positive outcome in a therapeutic relationship. I strive to provide an environment rich in understanding and empathy while helping clients achieve personal goals and reduction of emotional symptoms such as anxiety and depression. My goal is to provide clients with a strong sense of self- awareness while building on individual strengths.
I assist individuals and couples during life transitions: marriage, starting a family, pregnancy, postpartum, career or location changes, divorce or phases of life that may cause emotional distress.I use a mind-body approach and am able to teach proper breathing techniques, mediation, and relaxation exercises to promote a sense of calm and balance.
I provide both short and long-term therapy depending on the needs of the individual client. My skills as a therapist include the innate ability to readily connect with clients. I create an atmosphere of warmth, trust, and collaboration with my clients while paying close attention to individual needs and concerns.
