I work primarily with adults and teens, either individually or in family sessions. Most recently, I've focused on addiction treatment , trauma and the issues underlying addiction--depression, anxiety and poor communication patterns. I use EMDR to treat trauma-related disorders, including PTSD, depression, anxiety, and addiction. EMDR in combination with mindfulness practices provides relief for past trauma in a relatively short number of sessions.
Trauma therapy has become my focus. EMDR not only treats trauma, it addresses a cluster of symptoms, including depression, chronic pain, anxiety, and addiction, to name only a few. I've been using it long enough to have client after client report it's effectiveness for relieving a variety of symptoms. I combine EMDR with mindfulness practices.
I'm passionate about relieving the suffering that accompanies unresolved childhood trauma and more recent disturbing events.
