Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, Art Therapy, and Yoga techniques are beneficial because of their ability to reach past words and enhance talk therapy by incorporating mind, body, and spirit into your treatment. Barbara also offers therapeutic touch techniques through SE touch, NeuroAffective Touch, Pre and Perinatal Dynamics and Reiki.
Barbara specializes in the treatment of PTSD and Developmental Trauma. She has a passion for validating and helping to heal our earliest life experiences. Barbara not only works with Veterans and military service members and families but also through Pregnancy, birth, post-partum and birth trauma – for the birthing person, baby, or family.
Barbara has found these approaches are particularly helpful with trauma from military, birth, medical, sexual and childhood experiences. However, she is open to anyone struggling with a difficult experience that is showing up somatically (sleep issues, gut issues, migraines, pain, autoimmune, etc) as these can all be trauma showing up in our bodies.
