I specialize in children and adolescents who have developmental disabilities, OCD, mood and anxiety disorders and trauma. I currently provide individual therapy for individuals who are anywhere between the ages from four all the way to early twenties. I love being able to implement psychoeducation surrounding diagnoses to break the unhelpful stigma that may arise from them. I enjoy being able to guide my clients in building more confidence in themselves and gain motivation to do the things that they are passionate about.
On top of providing individual therapy for children, teens and young adults, I also provide caregivers with coaching. I assist in educating caregivers with more trauma informed language and neurodivergent affirming care. My modalities I mostly utilize are DBT, ACT, person centered and strengths based.
Therapy can feel scary, and it's okay to be nervous. I am very adamant about building trust and rapport with my clients and never making anyone discuss something they don't feel comfortable with. I also like to implement play and art based therapy tools to make the therapeutic setting less "stereotypical" and "nerve-racking"!
