I believe that a counseling relationship that provides safety, trust, and healing can transform an individual’s life. Often, there is the need for a gentle and trained outside perspective in order to see things differently and unlock new possibilities. I seek to provide a safe and empathetic space for each individual I meet with, in order to support the development of strengths, acceptance, and resiliency. Together, we can process old, harmful ways of experiencing the world and create new, edifying patterns which point you in the direction of the life you hope to lead.
I believe that the client is the expert in their own story, and therefore apply a person-centered, goal-oriented approach to our work together. I utilize feminist, systems-informed theory, integrating an individual’s diversities into treatment with great care. I enjoy the collaborative nature of therapy, working with clients to help them achieve their goals.
