I see therapy as a collaborative process for exploring and changing old patterns that hold back growth. Quietly taking notes and asking "So how does that make you feel?" is not my style. I integrate a range of techniques from AEDP, IFS, CBT and EFT to focus attention on repairing parts that feel broken and strengthen those that are actually working. In my couples and relationship work, this often takes the shape of rebuilding trust and finding new ways to identify and better communicate the different needs of each partner. I also specialize in supporting the unique experiences of the LGBTQIA+ community. También hablo español.
In addition to AEDP (level 2), IFS, CBT and EFT, my work with individuals, couples and families is informed by my training in Family Systems and Collaborative Couple Therapy. My practice is Ethical Non-Monogamy, Polyamory and Kink positive. I also have training and experience with Motivational Interviewing for clients who want to examine their substance use.
I approach therapy as an opportunity for clients to develop and practice new skills in a safe, curious and affirming space.
