My name is Dr. Tonia J. Bagby, and I am a licensed clinical psychologist with a small private practice in Richmond, VA. My goal is to provide affordable psychotherapy services to individuals who would like to work on life issues such as: depression, anxiety, grief & loss, active duty or Veteran related concerns, PTSD, trauma (i.e. sexual assault, domestic violence) and LGBTQ related issues. I have been in the mental health field since 1997 working with college age students, and as a frontline clinical provider with the Department of Veterans Affairs. I am an African American provider with a strong interest in multicultural clients who are interested in understanding how their thoughts and behaviors influence daily life. I have a client-centered approach, meaning that I work to understand your developmental history and how it impacts your current mental health using interpersonal techniques.
