My mission is to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe to express their most authentic self. My therapeutic focus lies in exploring how relational wounds reverberate through our lives, shaping our interactions with others, our self-perception, and our belief systems. Through the exploration of interpersonal and behavioral patterns, clients come to understand how their historical experiences have programmed their nervous system in trapped patterns of fight, flight, or freeze; a reactionary loop that impedes personal growth. An untended nervous system can cause anxiety, panic attacks, depression, and more.
My role in the therapeutic relationship is to facilitate a journey towards healing, personal empowerment, and a renewed sense of well-being. Through a holistic, comprehensive approach to mental healthcare, my goal is to enable clients to break free from entrenched patterns and achieve a harmonious internal state.
My area of focus is in treating anxiety, depression, and survivors of childhood trauma (C-PTSD). I am an Attachment-Focused therapist certified in EMDR and Interpersonal Neurobiology. I incorporate somatic therapies, mindfulness, and am IFS-informed. I also have a graduate degree in Women, Gender, and Sexuality with a focus on postcolonial theory.
