With the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Emotional Freedom Technique, EMDRIA trained EMDR, boundary work, and somatic grounding tools, clients can become unstuck and experience joy in the journey.
My passion in counseling is to educate clients about how the nervous system functions and creates patterns in our lives, keeping us feeling stuck. I specialize in EMDR and am very passionate about this modality. If you are experiencing continuous triggers and feel like nothing can help, I would love to educate you on your nervous system though EMDR.

I work with couples and throuples, juggling relationships and big emotions which can be a challenge for either monogamy or polyamory. My experience is assisting Neurodivergent brains with ADHD and functioning Adult Autism. I have a passion for helping athletes work though performance pressure. If you think you look “high‑functioning” from the outside but feel chaotic, disconnected, or stuck inside. Together we use evidence‑based tools, a bit of humor, and a lot of honesty to help you feel more grounded, connected, and confident.

My trauma-informed style is somatic & holistic, which means I help you listen to your body’s intelligence & rediscover your capacity for regulation & emotional truth while honoring that wise, soulful part of you.
Feeling overwhelmed? The world is blazing—climate crisis, unrest, AI, social injustice, foreign wars. And still, here you are: a tender, beating heart in a body that longs for ease. You're not alone. Many are struggling to hold it all. Maybe your relationships feel fragile, a medicine journey left you raw, or you're moving through panic, freeze, burnout, or a quiet ache of meaninglessness. Whether you're navigating relationship struggles, anxiety, self esteem, despair or a sense of disconnection from yourself, our work together can create an internal landscape that transcends this chaotic world.

I’m here to help by releasing trauma stored in the body with Somatic, attachment, experiential, and parts work, using mindfulness to create space for peace.
Do you feel a stirring to go deeper into your being and body to discover where your stress, anxiety, depression, trauma or grief are coming from? Perhaps you've tried a slew of cognitive/behavioral modalities and want to go deeper to find what you can shift through presence, mindfulness and attunement to your nervous system. Perhaps you want to find better access to your creativity. I am licensed in Arizona and Minnesota and can currently only take self-pay/telehealth clients in Minnesota. I do take insurance and see both in-person/telehealth in Arizona.

Good on you for taking this step. Let’s talk about the challenges that brought you here. Let’s also talk about the strength. Whether you’re giving therapy a first try, or another chance, I know it’s not easy. But you and I are here because we both believe things can improve with the right support. Now let’s nurture your belief - in therapy and, most importantly, in yourself. You can change harmful behaviors that take more than they give. You can validate your past trauma and get out from under it. You can meet your emotional needs that were previously set to the side. You can learn to speak your truth, with confidence and love.

I combine insight-oriented talk and listening with somatic methods to explore past influences on present life, relationships, and self-esteem, while promoting awareness and release of physical tension.
Sometimes a seemingly minor event from childhood, or at other times major traumatic events that happen at any age, can overwhelm and stress us. Either immediately after or years later we start to feel the effects of these events. We may feel depressed or angry, feel anxiety or panic for no apparent reason, have unexplained physical pain, or experience difficulty sleeping or nightmares. These may start to interfere with daily life, work, and relationships. If some or all these are your experience, you are certainly not alone.

How does somatic therapy work?
Somatic therapy is a form of treatment that focuses on how the body and mind are interconnected. In this approach, physical symptoms are addressed because they may in fact signal emotional distress. Somatic therapists combine mindfulness, talk therapy, breathwork, yoga, dance, and physical manipulations of the body to help patients become more attuned to what their body is telling them.

Is EMDR a somatic therapy?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a form of somatic therapy, as it incorporates mental and physical principles. EMDR involves remembering a traumatic experience while allowing one’s eyes to track a side-to-side visual stimulus from a therapist. This lateral eye movement is believed to diminish the painful power of the memory so that it can be discussed with a therapist.

Is somatic therapy evidence-based?
Somatic therapy has been researched and studied, and some forms of somatic therapy are found to be effective in treating a wide range of conditions. Because somatic therapy encompasses many techniques, some, such as EMDR and meditation, have been studied more than others.

What is somatic trauma therapy?
Somatic trauma therapy is based on the idea that when people experience trauma, they can become stuck in the “freeze” part of a “fight, flight, or freeze” response. In this state, trauma can manifest itself both mentally and physically—through tension in the muscles, anxiety, and stress. Popular forms of somatic trauma therapy include EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, and somatic experiencing.
