Client may present with unmet needs of seeking meaningful personal relationships, or needing to improve interpersonal or social connections. The goals to decrease mental health symptoms, improve daily functioning, and quality of life. This can be accomplished by working collaboratively in a supportive safe environment.

Can clients benefit from having a therapist of the same gender?
