In my psychotherapy I work with both
men
and women adults of all ages, civilian or military, who feel overwhelmed by stress. I believe that people's psychological issues result mainly from stressful social events--whether in the person's past or present life, or both. Childhood experiences, prior social learning, current needs and obstacles, difficult family members, friends, supervisors, co-workers, and other concerns, all contribute to stress. In turn, a person may feel unpleasant emotions and a lack of personal control, a strong desire for change, and the need for support, advice, and alternative ways to live.
