My ideal client would be any person that is in need of someone to talk to. They want to feel heard and understood. They have an idea of what they would like to talk about and what they would to see for their own future. Even if they are one hundred percent sure what they want, they are willing to talk about it. Also I think that it is important to be open to the idea that therapy can be fun!

Coping with the effects of a traumatic experience is like battling through a stream of thick mud, making you feel helpless and unsafe. On the outside, you may appear fine, but on the inside, there is something dark and sad sitting just below the surface. The irritability, lack of connection to others and yourself, disinterest in the things you used to enjoy, and difficulty sleeping are enough to make you feel like there’s no end in sight. Perhaps you’ve turned to substances or other behaviors as a way to cope since nothing else seems to work.
