Both issues have serious ripple effects, such as codependency , unstable relationships, depression, anxiety, and other PTSD symptoms.
Life can be difficult. Its curveballs can cause lots of emotional, physical, and psychological challenges capable of throwing us off balance. So, if you feel anxious or depressed, suffer from past trauma, and have a hard time with relationships, rest assured that there is help out here for you. My training, in addition to my professional experience, led me to specialize in trauma resolution and addiction. One often leads to the other.

Throughout our sessions we will work together to explore unresolved issues from your past, current life stressors and how to move forward to become your best self. Grief is another area that I specialize in. Whether it is the loss of a loved one or loss of function or mobility we will explore coping tools to find what is the most beneficial for you.

My passion is helping people connect in healthy ways, healing wounds that prevent us from living full lives and becoming our whole selves. Childhood abuse, attachment struggles, codependency , and dysfunctional family systems can leave us hurt and guarded, but we can overcome these wounds. We can find love within ourselves, we can connect in healthy ways, and this is something we deserve in our lives. My hope is for you to live a beautiful life, accepting yourself, allowing yourself to be loved. I believe I have tools to assist you in this journey and would be honored to be your guide.

Trauma can make you feel alone and misunderstood. You might feel like there is no one you can talk to because you don't want to cause them pain. You try to smile and carry on but this too has stopped working. Maybe you are angry, maybe you are afraid. I get that. Maybe you just want it all to stop and go back to the way it used to be. I get that too. Trauma can be a big event or reoccurring smaller events (micro-traumas). Even relationships can feel traumatic.

A good therapist accepts and validates who you are and what you value. This can only happen if you feel compassion and warmth from the therapist you choose. Do you feel troubled by your past? By events or relationships from your childhood? Or perhaps you are unsure of what drives your distress and simply need a safe, supportive person to explore this with. I am interested in getting to know you and to learn about your unique needs.

I'd like to help you take your narrative back from cultural and family conditioning and live more dynamically. My approach is respectful, creative, and evidence-based. I have been in the health/wellness field for 20+ years using strength based/holistic recovery approaches. Integrated/experiential therapy helps you re-claim your authentic spontaneous self, creating the life you wish to live. Addressing emotional/relational wounding truly opens the door to a more empowered and fulfilling life. You can increase your self-esteem and confidence, free yourself from depression/anxiety, negative self-talk, substance or process addictions, trauma triggers, and emotional reactivity in relationships. Sometimes therapy addresses current challenges/difficulties, sometimes it's about family of origin issues using inner child work, and/or trauma reduction work.

I welcome adults, couples, and adolescents from all walks of life who are struggling with states of anxiety, depression, emptiness, confusion, passivity, and aggression. My focus is on empowerment. When we experience empowerment we begin to take charge of our own lives. We see solutions that we couldn't see before. We begin to experience success in areas where we experienced helplessness only a short time ago. Many of us struggle with strained relationships, difficulties in communicating emotions and needs, hard choices, and losses from estrangement and alienation. Many of us have been traumatized in so many ways.

I am thrilled to reopen the doors of my private practice, as I was not able to counsel for several months. I missed the challenge and satisfaction of working with the courageous people who choose to question the status quo and risk change. Everyone whether single.married, gay (LGBTQ), straight, parents, grandparents, adolescents, overweight, underweight, addicted, sober, angry, anxious or depressed.........all are deserving of a safe place to be heard, explore, understand and to be understood. My goal is to exercise my experience and expertise to create and support each client’s safe place.

Codependency Therapists
Codependency is a personality style characterized by a need to constantly help others, especially one's primary partner, and especially a person who's addicted. Codependent people usually put aside their own needs in order to try to meet the needs of another person or other people
